ITC joined the 6th and the closing workshop on MONTUS (Master Of New Technologies Using Services) on November 7th – 9th , 2022, at Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam. MONTUS comes directly after TORUS Erasmus+ capacity building program (2015-2018) with the ambition to develop research on cloud computing in the environmental sciences and promote its education in the countries of Southeast Asian partners. The workshop concluded the activities and achievements that all the university partners in Europe and Asia have during the four years of the project.
During the workshop, the Vietnam National University presented the final version of the Master Program of Civil Engineering in which some courses was developed during the MONTUS project and was also proposed to be taught by professors from European partners. All other partners presented the courses that were developed under the project and also some of the interesting research applications that are done and are being done by the researchers from all the universities participating in the workshop. The research applications stressed the importance of using data analytics in their specific field and the need of a high-performance computing platform to achieve the result of the analysis and therefore thankful for the support of the MONTUS project to their research.
During the last session of this workshop, all members of the projects concluded the sessions with the action plan to finalize the reports and made some discussion about the possibility of continuation of the project under a new form of mobility from universities in Europe to Asia.
